Now this is a bit different from the things I usually write about. Euphoria isn’t a film, but it is probably one of the best TV shows depicting the struggles of youth I’ve ever seen. And while it is more like hyper-realism, this series does explore a lot of the multitude of emotions that teenagers and young adults go through. From drug abuse, to first loves, domestic violence and heart-break. There was something about this that just made me feel so in love the characters. It made me appreciate the highs and lows of youth, as patronising and cheesy as that sounds. Not only this but this show is one of the most diverse and unique things I have seen on TV. The actors are just incredible, and the characters are so easy to become entranced by. I loved everything about it. Which is why I felt like I had to write about it. The cinematography as well was phenomenal, the colour saturation in every single frame was so well thought out that it forces viewers to feel the intensity of the emotions and moments so much more. The soundtrack was cinematic but also so stylish in everything it did. For this reason, it has got to be one of the best series I have watched in a long time. And I just have to put it out there, the makeup is insane.
